After confirming that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be heading to China under Tencent Games (which will go through a series of changes to met the harsh requirements from the Chinese government), Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation today announced they are both working together on a mobile game based on the battle royale game. PUBG stated that the development of the mobile game is “ongoing smoothly”, and China gamers will be enjoy the official PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds soon on mobile devices.
Similar to the PC version, the mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will also be developed to suit the requirements of the Chinese government. The game will launch in China first, although nothing was mentioned about an overseas launch. The official announcement on Tencent’s blog can be seen below. Stay tuned for news about the game!
