[Kickstarter page] Pure Bang Games, the studio behind Riot Games’ Blitzcrank’s Poro Roundup, is excited to start their kickstarter campaign for MUD, a fantasy sandbox MMO. MUD is an open-world exploration and survival game. Inspired by old school M.U.D.s and recent sandbox games like Minecraft, MUD lets you jump into a world with friends and strangers to forge a strong community.
In MUD, players gather together to kill epic monsters, craft cool gear, build towns, and fight other players in a completely destructible world. The game has been in development for a year and was recently greenlit on Steam. The goal of the campaign is to help raise funds so that Pure Bang Games can finish the game and release it on Steam; starting with an Early Access release in March of 2016.
MUD is a living fantasy world where player choices matter. To do this, they have taken the mining, crafting, and building of Minecraft and added features such as hack and slash combat, fun PVE adventures, epic loot drops, player-run towns, quests, and an Emergent AI system that makes the world alive. No more creating an empty town, in MUD, if you build it, players and NPCs will populate.
