Announced back at G-Star 2014, Nexon Korea has officially revealed Hyper Universe with a website and basic details. Just to note, Hyper Universe is not developed by Nexon, but a Korean studio called CWAVESOFT. With that aside, the game is actually a side-scrolling MOBA title, with some modes/ maps offering both PVE and PVP features. Is side-scrolling MOBA the next big thing in eSports?
Do note that the video above is not an official trailer, but the background video from the website, hence no audio. There are currently 24 playable characters, with a few obviously inspired by popular IPs. They are further categorized into 6 different roles, mainly Striker, Technician, Stalker, Bruiser, Tanker, and Supporter. Not sure if a side-scrolling MOBA requires this many roles though.
