Alongside Nexon and NCsoft, Hangame is one of the most recognized online gaming platforms in South Korea. However, the country’s biggest gaming website, ThisIsGame.com, recently launched an article claiming parent company is NHN is looking to shed several games. Options include giving back the publishing rights to the developer, and cancelling all contracts for games yet to launch.
Hangame currently has several popular online titles, including TERA Online, Kritika, and Echo of Soul. New titles which are being prepared to launch include Kingdom Under Fire II. Apparently, the gaming business is not doing too well for NHN, with several mobile games being stopped as well. NHN has also diversified into many areas since 2013. There is no official word from NHN at this moment.
