Tencent Holdings, most well-known for its Tencent Games department, recently revealed the final design for its new $300 million global headquarters. Situated in Nanshan Hi-Tech Park, Shenzhen, China, the building will occupy a massive 18,650 square meters. Part of the design will be two towers; the South tower is 248 meters tall (50 storeys) while the North tower is 194 meters tall (41 storeys).
Along with the two towers, there are also three “linking storeys” connecting them. Work for this new headquarters started back in September 2011, and is scheduled to be completed in 2017. Currently known as Tencent WeHome (probably based off its popular chat app, WeChat), it will be the new landmark of the Nanshan District, probably Shenzhen as well.
