[Source] Outgoing Rovio Entertainment CEO, Mikael Hed, has revealed that the studio is considering “possible employee reductions of a maximum of 130 people”, which is 16% of the workforce. The aim here is to “simplify” the organization around games, media, and consumer products.
It hasn’t been a secret that Rovio is struggling to come up with a product that can match Angry Birds’ success, with several subsequent titles and even extensions of Angry Birds (that racing game) considered failures. Well, at least the upcoming Angry Birds movie got its first main castings.
