Do take note that the videos do not belong to me, but from the Korean community. The Alpha test phase for MapleStory 2 is currently ongoing, with a selected group lucky enough to give the game a shot. First off, a footage of the in-game combat and some map exploration to satisfy your curiosity.

Entering boss dungeons retains the same format, though everything now is in 3D with an isometric view. While dodging is important in the original MapleStory, it is even more active and required in the sequel during boss fights. It would really be nice if any player can just revive fallen team-mates.

The housing system is something the testers looked forward to, and it seems empty plot spaces reside even in the open world maps, rather than cramping everything into main cities. Of course, these locations are hidden from monster attacks. I wonder if there are enough spaces for everyone…

Finally, a couple of mini-games. The first mini-game will take some time to digest, but the concept is really simple once getting the big picture. Oh yes, the camera view is switched back to platform side-view! The 2nd mini-game is something like musical chairs, though players drop into the abyss instead.
