[Source] A couple of days back, 3 teen players of MapleStory Japan were arrested by the authorities for cheating, with Nexon Japan lodging a request in the first place. The 3 teens allegedly used illegal tools to get powerful weapons and obtain free items from the item mall.
The offenders (17-18) were reportedly a university student living in Fukushima, a highschooler from Nara and a technical college student from Tokushima prefecture. Having confessed, the teens apparently made over 8 million Yen (79,000 USD) from the sale of the illegal tools they coded.
