1 of Nexon Korea’s biggest online game, Cyphers was expected to do well overseas. However, publisher Gamania (beanfun!) announced today that it will be closing the Taiwan and Hong Kong servers on 22nd August, with no specific reason given. I am guessing a serious lack of players for the game.
Gamania (beanfun!) as a whole hasn’t done really well in recent years, first pulling out of China (the world’s top gaming market) and then followed by the English market. From my observation, it is certainly losing ground against its competitors, Gameflier and Garena, over in Taiwan.
