[Source] According to a report in German magazine “Gamestar”, Crytek is currently facing financial issues, with the recent switch to monthly subscription for CryEngine as 1 of the changes to save the company. “Cash injection” is said to be on its way, with a contract needing to be signed.
The report further claims Wargaming is 1 of the vultures circling the company should it go down, with the World of Tanks developer having acquired several studios over the past few years. Other than CryEngine, Crytek is currently developing several F2P, including Arena of Fate and HUNT.
