Developed by XLGAMES using CryEngine, the Closed Beta 1 phase for Civilization Online is currently ongoing in South Korea. Needless to say, the game is an official product from owner 2K Games, and currently an Asia-exclusive title. Here are 2 gameplay videos recorded by the Korean gamers.
In a nutshell, Civilization Online plays somewhat similar to a faction-based PvP game, with tons of crafting and building required. There are even castle sieges as well! The Korean gamers are complaining about the lack of authenticity compared to the classic Civilization play style, though.
