Tencent is looking to monopolize the MOBA market in China, with League of Legends already in the bag and also a new self-developed MOBA, Battle of the Gods. A teaser website for Tencent’s new game was released earlier, with a countdown timer leading to Gamescom 2013.
While it is still a rumor, Chinese-localized images of SMITE appeared around the same time in the Chinese media. It seems weird to have 2 god-themed MOBA, although 1 is isometric while the other a being 3rd person 3D one.
