While most China online games lack any sort of “innovation”, publisher KongZhong, famous for World of Tanks in the country, is aiming to break the mold with Master of Meteor Blades.
Essentially a room-based PvP title, players do not hold guns, but rather play as martial arts experts with 15 weapons and a large pool of skills to choose from. There doesn’t seem to have any mass PvP videos lying around, mostly 1 on 1 matches for now.
Master of Meteor Blades was advertised as a game with no PvE at all, but it remains to be seen if such a mode will be added in the future. The game is gearing up for ChinaJoy later this month, with the 2nd test phase starting in August.
