Blade & Soul needs no introduction by now, and I shall not go into details. China’s publisher, Tencent Games, is showcasing the game over at ChinaJoy 2013, with special booths equipped with virtual reality headsets for a true 3D experience.
The headset found here is actually the Sony Personal 3D Viewer, but according to the Sony store, the model used (HMZT1) is no longer available. You can view the specs here, which provides users with a 1280×720 resolution and a 45 degree field of view.
A new Blade & Soul application was also made available recently, which is simple AR (augmented reality) one. Basically, users can take pictures with a cute, responsive and moving Lyn added. Not really useful, but it is part of a chain of events to obtain an activation key for the game and to preview the new Lyn Swordmaster.
A “new” trailer was spotted, but I thought I have seen it before… nevertheless, there is still no date set for Blade & Soul China’s next test phase, and hopefully the activation key prices will drop significantly on the black market…
