While most of us already know what is coming in Aion 4.0, NC Japan went all out to make sure every gamer in Tokyo knows about it. The annual fan festival organized by NC Japan was held over the past weekend, right in the middle of everything geek and cool, Akihabara.
Just like a gaming convention, there were celebrities, emcees and developers hosting the live show on stage, tons of merchandise and of course, demo booths booted with the latest 4.0 version. The update hits Japan on 30th April, about 2 months earlier than the North America server.
The winners of the weapon design contest were also announced, and yes, that is a pistol made of wooden boards tied together using rubber bands.
At the fan festival, while Aion occupied the Sunday slot, Lineage 1 and 2 were the stars on Saturday. Yes, Lineage 1 is still operating in Japan, Korea and getting a reboot soon in China. Amazing feat for a game first released in Korea back in 1998.
