The title of the game is loosely translated as “Night Parade of One Hundred Demons“, which is a Japanese folklore. South Korea developer, Nbrix, announced its very MMORPG earlier today, and the theme revolving around the supernatural is really intriguing.
The game really reminded me of the recent anime, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. The theme is really almost similar. Ghost at Midnight is scheduled for beta in the 2nd half of this year.
While the press release states a fusion of both Western and Eastern cultures, the first few artwork seen here are leaning more towards the Eastern side. Yokai, Tengu, Ninetales and the building designs are all heavily Japanese-flavored at this point of time.
Did I mention that Ghost at Midnight is an action MMORPG? Although there is no actual game image or video now, hopefully it will be somewhat in the mold of Black Deserts.
No playable classes are announced so far, although it is not a far-fetched idea to have Exorcists, Shamans, Shrine Maidens, Monks etc involved, as seen in the teaser artwork below.
