It is usually a bad thing when I mention about “looking familiar”, and in rare cases Korean online games come into the mixture (China games most of the time). With the official website due to open in a couple of days, developer Dragonfly and publisher Neowiz held a media conference earlier today to reveal Age of Storm’s details.
As you can see, Kingdom Under Fire: Age of Storm looks very, very familiar to the recently launched Smite, although the background stories are different. Yes, folks will go “how else would you design a 3D MOBA then?”, I can’t offer any advise, but it still doesn’t discern the fact they look pretty similar.
In development for over 3 years now, the characters in Age of Storm are divided into the classic categories of tanker, AOE damage, ranged DPS and healer. Emphasizing that healer characters are not a need in the game, each round is expected to last around 40 minutes.
Age of Storm is scheduled to enter a final test phase soon, before entering Open Beta sometime in April. 18 characters are currently ready, with more of them and more content in the pipelines for the rest of the year.
