SEGA today announced that the PlayStation Vita version for Phantasy Star Online 2 will be available on 28th February 2013 in Japan. The game may also be downloaded for free, and will share the same server as those playing on the PC version.
Closed Beta for the PS Vita will begin in mid-January 2013, with registration beginning from next month via the PlayStation Store.
The “Special Package” found in stores costs 5229 Yen (USD 63.33), and comes with the following items: 8 special costumes (only 2 can be chosen), 3 special weapons, 1 MAG device, 1 “Little Wing” sticker, 2 music disks, 30 days of premium Sun set and 1000 FUN (all in-game stuff).
The iOS and Android version of Phantasy Star Online 2, which will not connect to the main servers, has been delayed further into 2013, with no date confirm currently. The delay is due to improving the game’s quality.
