After previewing what looks to be the final game client screenshot last week (link), Perfect World Beijing is ready to disclose some of the technologies used in developing the game. First up, the characters themselves.
It is pretty easy to see how detailed character customization will be, but I am intrigued to see that the self-developed Angelica engine (Angelica III here) is part of the promotional campaign for the very first time.
I am expecting a date for the game’s very first Beta phase to be announced come ChinaJoy 2012, which happens later this month. While there is still not much marketing being done, Swordsman Online is essentially Perfect World’s biggest game to date in terms of manpower, resources spent and content available. Can’t wait!
