If you have not read about this game before, I can assure you this game is definitely not about dogs. Well, maybe mutated ones. This is Hounds, a new online shooter from Korean MMO developer/ publisher CJ Games, better known for its portal, Netmarble.
The story for Hounds takes place in a world invaded by… zombie aliens which are feeding off living things and turning them into monstrous zombies. You get the hint. Below is the new promotional trailer for Hounds, expect tons of blood and gore (this video is actually hidden in the official website’s registered M18 area).
Labeling itself with a new genre name, Role Playing Shooting (RPS), Hounds place gamers as a military soldier tasked with taking out these zombies together with other players in small squads.
After action MMOs, it seems that co-op PvE shooters are the new trendy titles in Korea, which is a total opposite of the traditional room-based PvP games. Well, although with PvE as its core, these games such as Hounds will have PvP modes as well to balance gameplay choices out.
