Let’s jump straight into the game’s introduction. Daybreak is a new action MMORPG developed in China, with the game design (to me) a mixture of Rusty Hearts, Dragon Nest with a hint of Dungeon Fighters Online.
That is not really a bad thing, since there aren’t enough action MMORPGs out there. Despite being from China, Daybreak is not a total clone of any 1 game, which I feel is a massive improvement. Ok, some skills do look familiar, but still not a big issue personally.
Not a bad trailer eh? Other than the traditional downloadable client, Daybreak will be supporting gameplay through web browsers as well. According to the official press release, no download is required, and tests have been completed on Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and even Opera.
No cloud technology was stated, but I can’t help to think what if a player accidentally click on the “close” button at the top right corner…
In addition, several other features such as 100% 3rd party bot programs free were touted. This seems to be a norm now in China, with marketing statements being made in the extreme end. Will it end up well? We shall see…
Developer Linekong has been trying to enter the international market for the past few years, but it seems no luck was blessed on them in terms of the English market. Daybreak would definitely put the company on the map.
The game will be Linekong’s main title at the upcoming ChinaJoy, so stay tuned for more information.
