Hmn, I am really surprised how much Webzen is cramping into 2011 to the extent that I am actually worried. It was revealed recently that Korean MMO developer and publisher, Webzen, has teamed up with Japanese mobile game company Dena to release S.U.N Episdoe Mobile for the mobile device on its platform, Mobage. According to sources, the game itself isn’t developed by Webzen, but by another company call GameON. The game is free and arns through a mobile cash item shop. Players will start in the role of a warrior seeking to destroy an evil being… *yawns*. The game will only be available in Japan.
So why am I surprised again? Webzen has the Global English games to take care of, preparing the English services for at least 3 upcoming games, preparing Continent of the Ninth (C9) for China, negotiating about Firefall plus a few new games in Korea. Not only that, it was revealed recently that China will see a new game in S.U.N 2, which is the original game updated with the Limited Edition expansion. Strangely, the current publisher for S.U.N Online in China, The9, is not the immediate choice as the game’s publisher. There might be S.U.N and S.U.N 2 in the same country under different publishers. This is confusing! Let’s hope Webzen somehow manage to please everyone.
