Chinese MMO developer and publisher, The9, has announced its arrival in the English market by setting up its own gaming portal, The9 Hub and revealing its very first title, Three Kingdoms Brawler. About a year ago, I wrote about how the company was going to stand up on its feet again after losing the rights to World of Warcraft China, with little backup plan. It seems the company managed just fine. The9 last saw the spotlight in the English market by buying over Red 5 Studios, which is currently developing Firefall.
Three Kingdoms Brawler is a 2D side-scroller in the same category as Nexon’s Dungeon Fighter Online, but given the oriental background, it will most probably play out like the classic gaming arcade version. Might even remind some players of Golden Axe as well. The preview beta keys are gone now, but I will be giving the Chinese version a shot and as usual, will take a footage of it. Stay tuned! Before I forget, here is the website link to the game!
