If you do not know, Swordsman Online is Perfect World’s upcoming martial arts MMORPG, based on the popular novel by Louis Cha. The game is currently undergoing internal beta over at the headquarters in China.
Here’s a little information about Mount Hua Sect: it was one of the most revered orthodox sect in the pugilist fraternity and the Five Mountains Sword Sect Alliance.
The internal “decay” begun when Mount Hua Sect got hold of Sunflower Manual, perhaps the most powerful skill manual in Louis Cha’s extensive martial arts world. The skill requires males to castrate themselves in order to master. 2 of the leaders fought over manual, eventually splitting into the Qi and Sword sections.
The Qi group focuses more on using internal energy to deal damage, while the Sword group focuses more on swordplay. In Swordsman Online, players will have an option to choose between these 2. The most powerful skill for the Qi group will be called the Zixia Shengong, while the most powerful skill for the Sword group will is known as the Nine Swords of Dugu, or Nine Swords of Loneliness.
As this is an ultimate skill set, the strongest swordplay manual in the game, only those who are “destined” will be able to learn this in-game. The Sunflower Manual is also one of the ultimate skills, but the developers are still looking at how to implement it into the game.
An important thing to note, players will be able to mix and match different skills in the game and come up with their own unique set of skills.
