Well, it is official. Gala-Net, through its MMO portal, gPotato, and Netmarble Korea has signed an agreement to bring Prius Online to the North American market. Having played a little of the Taiwanese server, Prius Online is sort of similar to AIKA in terms of the Pran system (called Anima in Prius). Prius boasts better graphics, but of course, without AIKA’s 1000 VS 1000 Nation War. The beta for gPotato’s English server is expected to hit in early 2011. Korea’s Prius Online will be getting a rather bloody and hardcore PvP-related update soon, which is called Blood Anima. Looks promising and exciting!
I am rather surprised at this announcement though, since Netmarble has its own English MMO portal. Will we be seeing an IP block again (like AIKA), with Netmarble hosting the global version? Only time will tell.
