This came as a surprise to me, as Nexon Korea had done a great job with DOTA 2 since October 2013. There were tournaments and substantial cash prizes, but it seems Valve and Nexon have parted ways. Set to close on 10 December, Korean players will have to play DOTA 2 through Steam, though all purchased items and personal info will remain. Valve will handle all Korean localization as well.
