Launching last year to much fanfare, Daum Games announced it is shutting down PlanetSide 2 in South Korea on 21 July. Reasons for the shutdown include a lack of players, lack of interest for sci-fi online games (it seems only StarCraft is working there), the incompatible cash shop system, and also the problems with getting new updates. Daum Games is currently riding high on Black Desert.
