As reported earlier this year, Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase (Blizzard’s partner in China) filed a lawsuit against the developer of Legend of Crouching Dragon, on the basis that the game has infringed the intellectual property of Hearthstone, a card game which NetEase was publishing.
All parties failed to reach an agreement yesterday in court, and the case has been adjourned. According to reports, Blizzard and NetEase are seeking around 800,000 USD (5 million CNY) in damages. Legend of Crouching Dragon did not “officially” launch, although it was very popular when the game went public.
