If you are really a gamer, you should have heard about CryEngine, the game engine which is used to make games like FarCry and Aion: The Tower of Eternity. The second generation, CryEngine 2, is used to develop games including Crysis and Crysis: Warhead. Several games are still in production using the first 2 generations, but as technology advances at an amazing speed day by day, its never too early to give the game engine an upgrade.
Introducing the latest CryEngine 3, the third generation game engine from German makers Crytek. The only game announced using this engine is Crysis 2, but I have no doubt it will be used as a MMO engine soon. Possibly Blizzard’s new secret MMORPG ? We shall see.
