Last month, I ranted about Joymax getting Special Force when Ijji is already hosting a version of the game, Soldier Front. Now, there is yet another new server for the game, located in the South East Asia region and published by Cubizone, one of the worst MMO companies I ever know. I do have a beef with the company with not updating their games for over an estimated 12 months. So here is a lowdown on the various Special Force servers currently:
Updated 21 April 2011 – Special thanks to Nick who sent me an email, the Joymax version for Special force is catered for Russia, Middle East, India and Africa (source).
I have absolutely no idea why there are 3 different servers within the Southeast Asia (SEA) region itself, with the Singapore server hosted by the Korean developer, Dragonfly’s local office itself. Cubinet’s server is going to service Malaysia and Singapore (what?) primarily, but no IP block was apparently announced. The situation is muddy over at North America and Europe as well, with Ijji and Joymax servicing the game. As you can see below, Special Force 2 was officially announced just recently. A case of business overkill? You be the judge.
