Thanks to Kristaps for messaging me the news. NCsoft has announced that China IPs will be blocked from Lineage II, and this hasn’t come as a surprise to me. It is a fact the world’s biggest gold farmers and illegal 3rd party software are all from China, online gaming wise. Why do you think most Chinese games have in-built legal bots anyway?
If you did not know, Korea started banning overseas IPs due to China hackers as well in the first place. There are many articles you can read up, and such activity is still a booming trade over there, with China graduates earning over 10 times their normal salary (if they are the boss) working in such an organization.
