In a recent interview with Hanbitsoft’s CEO, he teased that several Asian cities are in consideration for Hellgate: London’s sequel. He also claimed that he sees Tokyo as the perfect example of an Asian city.
Amongst the mentioned cities like Shanghai, Seoul and various others, Tokyo seems to be the favoured destination, given that Hanbitsoft is publishing Granado Espada and NeoSteam in Japan via its child company, Hue.
A Hanbitsoft spokesperson claimed that Hellgate: London will not be serviced in Japan even though Tokyo is in consideration as the stage for the sequel, as Namco Bandai currently holds the right to the game in Japan (and also US, EU).
While everything is in speculation mode now, the Hanbitsoft spokesperson did acknowledge that ideas for the sequel has been in discussions since last year after the acquirement of the game from Flagship Studios.
