As mentioned in my previous post, Korean developer PearlAbyss held a live media conference earlier today to showcase their first online title, Black Desert, announcing the Closed Beta date as well. The Korean media are out in full force on this title, and here are some videos from the event.
The 4 playable characters/ classes are shown below, while a public raid can be seen above. I am not sure if this is a permanent feature of just for today’s event, but it certainly makes sense for PearlAbyss to add some sort of world boss fights similar to that found in Guild Wars 2 and A Realm Reborn.
The PvP demo is kind of weird, since the camera angle is apparently in a first person mode… Or perhaps a spectator mode? Still, PvP is already in the first game client, not something we see these days in the first Closed Beta phase for most new online titles.
The team is now working on some added features, such as game pad compatibility, more PvP modes, content for the housing system, mounts and many more. Black Desert is looking gorgeous, and I can’t wait till I can give the game a try! Also, do not miss the interview I had with developer Pearl Abyss!
