I seldom post about music or dance games, but since the trailer looks kind of nice, I shall not be lazy for once. Developed by Snail Game (Age of Wushu), The Music Man has already entered a non-wipe beta phase earlier this month. The trailer for ChinaJoy 2013 looks pretty nice if you ask me.
The 2nd dance game after HighStreet 5 from the developer, The Music Man features some unique features, including avatars (angels, demons, giants etc) which dish out pretty effects during dance battles. While a casual game, it will look like the opposing avatars are battling it out with tons of spells.
I am not sure if this is unique, but there is a home system players can decorate and invite friends over, pretty much similar to The Sims. Players can choose from a variety of housing options, from a normal high-rise apartment to their own bungalows.
There will be a massive update coming in August, and I guess that is why The Music Man was part of the ChinaJoy lineup as well. I am not sure if Snail Game is looking to bring this to the English market, since the only popular one I know of currently is MStar.
