Following the PC emulator “Purple” announced back in 2019 to allow gamers to play their mobile games on the PC desktop, NCsoft today announced updates to its platform, Yeti. Teti is a software that, when installed on PC or mobile devices, allows players to play NCsoft games using web stream technology. Aion was used as a test game back in Dec 2020, and the 2 new games onboard right now are Lineage 2M and Lineage Remastered.
NCsoft plans to gradually introduce more of its current and future games to the Yeti service. The team claims that Yeti “provides the same control and convenience as a real game client. By minimizing input delay, players can respond quickly in situations such as siege or PvP. Players can also experience immersive gameplay through a wide screen.”
The development team of Purple and Yeti, NC Platform Center, is also working to introduce a ‘multi-view’ function that allows players to enjoy various games at the same time and a function that allows them to share the screen to multiple users in real time. The team is also researching more ways gamers can play NCsoft titles.
