The hot trend of non-target action online games continue, and this time Neowiz is previewing Project Black Sheep, a self-develop effort. Led by Neowiz CRS, the studio which made games such as Martial Soul (or Seven Souls Online), Project Black Sheep seems oddly familiar…
Players start out as new recruits of a special group call “Black Sheep” working under the church, going on missions to find out the truth about the phenomenons happening around the world, which in turn is designed with the Middle Ages in mind.
Similar to the other 3D action games out there, emphasis is placed heavily on combat, the overall interactiveness and the environment physics. Overall, there is much improvement in realism compared to other titles out there.
There is also a feature which allow dynamic changes to maps, known as “World Dynamics”, where weather, time and even intensity of light affects map elements. All these are really static elements which will change dynamically (similar to the dynamic events in Guild Wars 2 I believe).
Project Black Sheep is scheduled for its first test in Q1 next year, with Neowiz planning a mobile version as well to make use of its own IP strategically. And yes, the cosplay pictures below are by Spiral Cats’ leader, Tasha , posing as a character from Project Black Sheep.
