Today, it was announced that TiMi Studio Group, a unit under Tencent Games, has come to an agreement with Capcom to develop Monster Hunter Mobile, the mobile version of the beloved action game series. If you did not know, TiMi Studio Group previously made Call of Duty Mobile, Pokémon UNITE, and Arena of Valor. It is also now developing Metal Slug Mobile based on the IP under SNK.
TiMi Studio Group announced that Monster Hunter Mobile will “retain the hunting action unique to the existing Monster Hunter series and provide a special and new game experience that can only be enjoyed on mobile devices.” While Tencent previously made a PC MMO based on Monster Hunter before (only for the China market), this is the first collaboration between TiMi Studio Group and Capcom.
