Over the years, Nexon had been in various scandals when it comes to probability rates in their games, especially for gacha or loot boxes. To prevent further government scrutiny, Nexon today announced Nexon Now, a real-time probability monitoring website where all players can check the latest probability rates happening in games (gacha, upgrades, etc). For now, Nexon Now will only be available for the Korean server of MapleStory (PC).
This system will allow all players to directly compare their own experiences with the actual real-time results, and to check if the various probability elements are operating normally. Nexon plans to introduce Nexon Now to all games in future, including mobile games. Of course, Nexon is now championing “transparency” for their games and how they operate, and Nexon Now is the first step. No mentions if it will be brought overseas though.
