A couple of months back, the mobile MMORPG, V4 (Victory For), won the annual Korean Game Awards. Developed by NAT Games (a subsidiary of Nexon), it was announced recently that the prize money will be donated to Seoul National University Hospital. Of the 20 million Korean Won donation (around 18,200 USD), 15 million is from V4’s Presidential Award, while 5 million is for a merit prize in overseas expansion efforts.
This donation will be used as a fund for the construction of the Nexon Child Relief Medical Center on the hospital grounds, which is being built by the Seoul National University Hospital and the Nexon Foundation. Nexon has also raised 10 billion Korean Won (around 9 million USD) to build the Nexon Children’s Palliative Medical Center’ (tentative name), the first independent child palliative care center in Korea.
