KRAFTON – Korean dramas and movies based on PUBG teased after latest investment

KRAFTON, the parent company of PUBG Corp (developer of PUBG), today announced that is has made a strategic investment in local drama production company, Hidden Sequence. The investment details were not made public, although KRAFTON is now the second biggest shareholder in Hidden Sequence after its founder. According to the press release, this is part of an effort to expand KRAFTON’s game IPs into different media formats, such as dramas and movies based on PUBG. On the flip side, KRAFTON can make games based on Hidden Sequence’s drama and movie IPs. Esports and webtoon content are also mentioned.
