While I am not an avid fan of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), I do understand how big the mobile MOBA is in Southeast Asia, hence this news caught my attention. According to reports, Facebook Gaming is threatening actions against “Facebook Gaming Managed Creators” who attend the MLBB World Championship held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this weekend. You see, this is a YouTube Gaming event, a direct competitor of Facebook Gaming, and invites were actually sent to these “Facebook Gaming Managed Creators.”

I do understand why Facebook Gaming is taking this aggressive stance. If you ask me, Facebook Gaming could be a little more creative, take a step back and see this as an opportunity instead of taking an aggressive stance. I could think of ways to make this work and still allow the folks to attend, but I shall leave the brainstorming to the Facebook team.
