An early entry into Tencent Games’ plan of owning all domestic publishing rights to team-based shooters and battle royale titles, Paladins will now be shutting down in China. The official statement on the Paladins China website claims that the contract with developer Hi-Rez Studios has ended, and an amicable decision was made to terminate the game. The last day for Paladins China is 30 November, 12:00 PM local time. Despite how resourceful Tencent Games is, they have never been able to get competitive titles right after League of Legends. Is this a sign of bad things to come for Fortnite and Apex Legends in China?
