Officially formed in 2018, Second Dinner is a new games studio founded by Ben Brode. A 15-year veteran of Blizzard Entertainment and former game director of Hearthstone, he was also a founding member of the project. Second Dinner recently announced it has raised USD 30 million from Chinese juggernaut NetEase as a minority investment. Along with this funding is also the announcement that Second Dinner’s first game will be based on the Marvel Universe. Neither the specific franchise nor platform has been mentioned. Based in Irvine, California, Second Dinner is now looking to fill up some technical positions.
