Given the impressive mechanic and statistics for Black Desert in the various regions, one would have thought China’s largest game publishers would have signed the game for the domestic market. Turns out, it was only earlier today that developer Pearl Abyss revealed the China publisher, which is Snail Games, also the developer of Age of Wushu and the upcoming Dark and Light.
Based in Suzhou, China, Snail Games is known for its super-local events back when Age of Wushu first launched in the country, including country-wide tours of internet cafes. I could see some shocked faces, since the money has always been on Tencent Games signing such a big South Korean title. We also heard a Southeast Asia server is being prepared, so stay tuned for updates!
