During the conference call to announce its latest financial results, the Chief Financial Officer of NCsoft revealed that the company has changed the leadership of the Lineage Eternal development team. This decision came after the Closed Beta of Lineage Eternal held late last year, which NCsoft management felt the game did not “reflect NCsoft’s characteristics”. A new development schedule is being prepared.
It is unknown if a second Closed Beta will still be held this year for Lineage Eternal. In other news, sales for NCsoft decreased across the board, as its earnings from Lineage in South Korea slid drastically. It seems sales from NCsoft’s mobile games, including Lineage: Red Knights and Final Blade, are still insignificant and are placed under “Other Sales”. It seems Blade & Soul will be the savior this year.
