First announced last month, Metal Gear Survive is the first game since Hideo Kojima, the visionary behind the Metal Gear series, left Konami. Set to launch in 2017 on PC (Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, Metal Gear Survive is currently being exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2016. Konami has released a gameplay video highlighting the stealth and defence elements of the game.
Metal Gear Survive picks up from the ending of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, to an alternate timeline caused by unexplained wormholes forming in the sky. Players find themselves on distorted desert landscapes full of massive half-formed structures, living biological threats, and the remains of a once strong military force now litter the landscape.
