Known as the “Final Fantasy” of South Korea, developer Softmax revealed a few new game videos for The War of Genesis 4: Spiral Genesis. I do not recall any of the games in the franchise launching in English. First announced back in 2012, and after suffering a massive delay with fears of studio lacking essential funds, Closed Beta is finally scheduled to begin on 16 April in South Korea.
The two trailers below showcases the basic functions of Spiral Genesis. Combat is more similar to Granado Espada (Sword of the New World), rather than traditional turn-based games such as Atlantica Online. Players are able to form teams of five, hiring new heroes as they progress. There is a chain combo system which will test players’ skills, as well as massive summons similar to Final Fantasy’s.
