There isn’t much news for Taiwan-developed online games, but Userjoy Technology, which had previously focused on web games in Japan, announced The Age of Heroes earlier this month. Crafted using Unreal Engine 3, players will be able to select three different heroes, not classes, to enter the game. They can be switched any time, rather than controlling all three like Granado Espada.
When Hero A is switched to Hero B, there will be an “entrance skill”, for example an AOE spell. Each hero will have a different “entrance skill”, making the switch a skill itself. Of course, the hero which is switched out will have a cool-down to avoid mass switch-spamming. Touted as having non-target combat, players can actively dodge attacks and make use of monsters’ element weaknesses.
With active actions, Userjoy claimed that skilled players will be able to take down boss monsters several levels higher. When players start out, there will be a set of default heroes to choose from, with the rest recruited in-game. Seen below are two of the starting heroes, “Heart of Nature” Enilere and “Sunstriker” Nagro. Stay tuned for more information as the game closes in on Closed Beta!
