South Korean developer, XLGAMES, recently held the Closed Beta 2 test phase for Civilization Online, which took place for one week immediately after G-Star 2014 ended. The brand new Aztec civilization was added, located on a new game continent away from the other three existing civilizations.
Seen here are gameplay videos from Closed Beta 2. Civilization Online is scheduled to launch early next year in South Korea, with further territories being planned. 2K Games talked about pushing the game in Asia first, but I can’t really see China or Japan players warming up to this genre. We shall see!
