It was announced earlier today that XLGAMES, developer of ArcheAge, has signed a contract with Gamevil to develop a mobile game based on ArcheAge. Gamevil is one of the largest mobile games developer and publisher in South Korea, which seems like a very good fit.
No further information was provided, but I am surprised XLGAMES did not pursue mobile development after closing ArcheVille (below), the mobile application which is actually a mini-game and tied to the main ArcheAge MMORPG. The new mobile game is most likely to be a standalone title.
